Today's Lesson: 9/11

Biology:  Today we learned about the early days of the cell; how Robert Hooke named the cell and how Leewenhouk, Schleiden & Schwann contributed to the cell theory.  We also learned about the difference between
prokaryote and eukaryote cells, and in eukaryote cells how the nucleus operates.  This chapter is so very important for our skills for the graduation exam.

Environmental Science:  Today we discussed biomes--ecosystems that are so vital to the earth.  We first started discovering the tropical rain forests and learned that every second of every day 100 acres of tropical rain forest is destroyed--what a loss for the earth.....

Tomorrow:

I will be working at UAB to get certified to have Science in Motion at Fultondale High School.  My substitute will be Mrs. Wickert.
Assignments will be on the board.  See you all on Wednesday!
